Whether satellites, spacecraft or space debris – GESTRA, the "German Experimental Surveillance and Tracking Radar", is a state-of-the-art radar system for observing and tracking objects in space. It operates in the microwave range and explores the Low Earth Orbit of 300 to 3,000 kilometres, i.e. the range in which most satellites and the International Space Station (ISS) are located. This makes it possible, for example, to protect space systems or the ISS from a collision with debris particles by providing a timely warning. Millions of tiny particles orbit the earth and, at a speed of around 28,000 km/h, pose a threat to active space technologies. GESTRA was developed and built by the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR on behalf of the German Space Agency at DLR.

The SCVPX-SSGM (Synchronous Signal Generation Module) generates synchronization signals to coordinate the operation and timing of various radar system components. It can generate synchronization signals using an internal clock, receive an external clock, or regenerate synchronization signals from external sources to maintain precise timing cycles. A device driver program is required for configuration and operation, and the Linux driver can be downloaded from Seedcore’s product page. Drivers for other operating systems can be developed upon request. This module is deployed in the L-SAM multi-function radar system, providing precise timing synchronization across mission-critical subsystems.

The L-band 8-channel filter bank receiver module is equipped with eight internal filter bank channels, enabling improved reception performance by isolating specific sub-bands within the receive frequency range. A 100W limiter at the input stage protects the receiver from high-power signals, and the module offers a low noise figure of 3.0 dB or less. The input P1dB for the receiver is -20 dBm, and the module features a built-in path self-test function.

The Signaty V IR Helmet Strobe is a Korean-made Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) device that supports IR and four LED colors (red, green, blue, white), ensuring visibility up to 5 km. It features short-range communication (CDS) for automatic synchronization among multiple units, along with SOS, auto-sync, one-hand operation, and vibration feedback functions. Powered by a single AA battery, it operates for up to 130 hours. Built to MIL-STD-810G standards for drop, waterproof, and dustproof protection, it delivers proven durability. Technology research that needs to be developed/secured to efficiently train future combat pilots ETS must have the ability to provide a realistic training environment in which pilots can immerse themselves in training through the use of simulations and CGFs within a real platform. The advantage of ETS is that it provides trainees with a training experience that is close to the real thing and reduces overall system operating costs by replacing real systems and consumables with simulations. Developed countries are already continuing to attempt to apply various core technologies to increase the efficiency of ETS.
