About
Hydronalix is a small high-technology company specializing in extreme performance, small-unmanned vehicles, for water and air. The company has many capabilities including: advanced research and development; design and prototyping; test and evaluation; production; customer training and service; sales and marketing.
Hydronalix maintains a staff of highly experienced engineers, technicians, and scientists. The company performs advanced research and development programs for the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Interior (DOI), Department of Energy (DOE), Domestic Preparedness Support Initiative (DPSI), National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Hydronalix also has worked since 2010 with the Los Angeles County Fire Department Lifeguard Division, along with over 50 small and large domestic fire departments including Fire Department New Your City, Austin County Fire Department, Houston Fire Department, Denver Fire Department, Norfolk Fire Department, Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Montana Department of Transportation (MDOT), and Hawaii Department of Transportation. The company also has clients in 33 foreign countries and has operated or supported missions in more than 50 countries.
The company's in-house capabilities include naval architecture and hydrodynamic design, electronic circuit design and fabrication, integration of advanced payloads and radios, development of advanced sensor systems and their integration, composite hull tooling and fabrication, advanced test and evaluation, and novice to advanced operator training programs with certification. Hydronalix has manufacturing equipment and personnel for vertically integrated manufacturing of its platforms so all aspects can be controlled.
Unlike many of our competitors, Hydronalix designs its hull platforms, reviews the designs and the modeling with academia, fabricates the tooling in-house, manufactures the hull structures, machines all its components, designs and builds its electronics, integrates the platform systems, performs test and evaluation, packages and delivers to the customer, performs operator training, and provides service and maintenance support. Hydronalix also provides support services for its customer's missions with personnel and specialized equipment.
Additionally, the company employs a full staff for administration, marketing, R&D, manufacturing, testing and evaluation, customer support, and training operations. The company’s headquarters is in Green Valley, AZ and it has locations in Washington DC, and on the Southern California Coast. Hydronalix has distributors in the U.S., Europe, Middle East, Central and South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
Hydronalix's concept is to use the most advanced materials systems and technologies to maximize performance, efficiency, and durability in a new generation of micro unmanned surface vehicles. The company was incorporated in 2009, shortly after the founders sold their previous successful UAV company to a large Defense Prime Contractor. The executive team and board members have strong backgrounds in research, development, manufacturing and design of advanced composite materials and specialty high end ceramics along with UAVs. Since the beginning, the company’s products have participated in a continuous stream of mission deployments for critical needs all across the globe. On average, Hydronalix USV systems are commissioned globally into service with a new agency or unit every week.
