From precise control of various optical components(laser/detector/amplifier) & laser beam alignment(QD/FSM), a data rate of 10G can be achieved over distances of several thousand kilometers.

SAIT CIRUS has been fortunate to receive generous funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and Prairies Canada to support the development of our research centre and supporting applied research projects. By integrating AI models such as facial landmark and head pose detection, gaze tracking, object recognition, and human pose estimation, the system supports safety features like drowsiness detection, distraction monitoring, and surrounding object awareness. Optimized for automotive SoCs including Qualcomm, and running on QNX RTOS and Linux, our solution combines model compression, embedded optimization, and a streamlined development pipeline. This ensures reliable, low-latency performance tailored for next-generation connected and intelligent vehicles.

In harsh theaters of battle and other challenging environments, electronic sensors that decision-makers depend on for signals intelligence can fail, be blocked, or may not be present. That can leave forces unable to detect threats, protect assets, or see and evaluate opportunities to advance the mission.

The Transmit/Receive Module splits 2 transmit input channels into 32 output channels. Each channel delivers an output power of at least 3.2 W with a transmit efficiency of 35.5% or higher. It features independent phase control for each transmit channel. On the receive side, 32 input channels are combined into two output channels. The total receive gain is 34 dB or greater, and each channel supports individual gain and phase control. The noise figure is 3.5 dB or lower per channel. Built-in monitoring functions include internal temperature monitoring and output signal monitoring.

It can carry and deliver payloads of 5 to 10 kilograms, making it suitable for commercial and industrial logistics. The drone has been successfully tested in extreme environments, ensuring stable performance under harsh conditions.
