High Power Polarizing Beamsplitter Cube coatings are deposited on the hypotenuse of right angle prisms that are optically contacted. They are designed to separate an incident beam into its S and P polarization components with an average extinction ratio (TP/TS) in excess of 500 : 1. The incident energy is split into two orthogonally polarized beams that emerge at 90。with respect to each other. These coatings were developed specifically for use in high power pulsed and CW laser applications.

FOBEX-P is a single-type beam expansion connector that can upgrade a contact optical connector to a non-contact optical connector. FOBEX-P is optimized for applications with frequent mating or high vibration. It has much less damage or wear than contact connectors, has stable signal quality, and is robust even in harsh environments. The lens applied to FOBEX-P expands the size of the beam of the original optical signal, transforms it into a parallel light form, makes optical alignment easy, reduces sensitivity to external contamination, and provides consistent performance despite external thermal changes. Cleaning is also easy. FOBEX-P was designed to be compatible with the existing contact type M29504/4-05 size, and can be used by replacing contact pins and sockets with FOBEX-P.
