High Power Polarizing Beamsplitter Cube coatings are deposited on the hypotenuse of right angle prisms that are optically contacted. They are designed to separate an incident beam into its S and P polarization components with an average extinction ratio (TP/TS) in excess of 500 : 1. Additionally, there are several sensors integrated to provide diagnostic information such as current consumption, supply voltage levels and temperature readings. All major components of the actuator are continuously diagnosed by the microcontrollers of the actuator and its health status can be read via the redundant RS485.
