Neustrelitz is located 100 kilometres north of Berlin. The multi-antenna and multi-mission configuration of the ground station allows information products to be delivered to customers within minutes after data reception. These include products for national and European authorities for maritime safety, such as wind and sea state estimates, ice classification, ship navigation through ice-covered waters, detection of navigation irregularities or oil spills as well as the space weather. The Neustrelitz ground station offers data reception in the S, X, and Ka bands as well as data uplink in the S and X bands.

It provides an interface that standardizes the shuttle for any type of unmanned aviation vehicle, and is easy to mount and to avoid take-off interference. The X-band LNB is a satellite ground transport terminal that includes a transmission rejection filter and performs downconversion of X-band signals to IF using an internal reference frequency. It features dustproof, moisture-proof, and waterproof protection, along with self-diagnostic functions such as a lock alarm. The unit provides a total gain of over 60 dB and supports a wide bandwidth of 500 MHz. Its frequency stability is maintained within 0.31 ppm.
