Hyundai Elevator is leveraging its expertise in elevator technology to develop infrastructure for urban air mobility (UAM). We are working on takeoff, landing, charging, and maintenance platforms that can be built on top of existing buildings, solving space constraints in congested urban environments. Our initiative is backed by their manufacturing expertise and government support, though global building codes may present a challenge in scaling the solution.

Engine Start Begins with ATS. The Air Turbine Starter (ATS) is a key component of an aircraft's secondary power system, driven by Bleed Air supplied from the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) to accelerate the engine up to approximately 8,900 RPM, enabling engine start. Through the in-house development and localization of the ATS, we have incorporated power generation, optimal design of the shear section with consideration of failure, Containment functionality, as well as lubrication and power transmission systems. In addition, we have secured manufacturing and assembly technologies and continue development aimed at successful operation and the establishment of a mass production system.

CoaXPress enables bidirectional transmission of data transfer, camera control, power supply (PoCXP), and triggering over a single coaxial cable. The GNSS receiver has 10 mm position accuracy with real-time RTK or post-processed PPK. Extensive Interoperability Certus Mini seamlessly communicates with a wide range of industry standard protocols including NMEA 0183 and CANOpen making it easy to integrate into existing systems.
