German Aerospace Center (DLR)
Neustrelitz Receiving Station
Neustrelitz is located 100 kilometres north of Berlin. Here, DLR receives data from the German radar missions TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X, the KOMPSAT satellites of the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), the European Sentinel fleet and the American Landsat series, among others. The multi-antenna and multi-mission configuration of the ground station allows information products to be delivered to customers within minutes after data reception. These include products for national and European authorities for maritime safety, such as wind and sea state estimates, ice classification, ship navigation through ice-covered waters, detection of navigation irregularities or oil spills as well as the space weather. The Neustrelitz ground station offers data reception in the S, X, and Ka bands as well as data uplink in the S and X bands.
MKS Ophir
Large-mirror optical components design & production
Large mirrors are crucial in various optical systems, particularly long-range multi-spectral setups for defense, surveillance, and commercial use, like UAV optics and agricultural temperature monitoring. Aerospace applications, such as satellites and telescopes, are common. These mirrors come in different shapes and materials, including Al, Si, Ge, and Cu, spanning visible, UV, and IR spectrums.
By using advanced CNC grinding, polishing, and diamond turning we provide precise surface forms, with tight tolerances, and multispectral performance. Our mirrors, up to 700mm in diameter, provide impressive specifications: 0.05% radius tolerance, less than 0.5Fr P-V irregularities, 0.1Fr RMS at 0.633μ, and sub-40Å RMS roughness. MKS Ophir's proprietary coatings enhance spectral performance and surface durability.

Saab
Sirius Compact electronic warfare sensor
Electromagnetic activities have become critical in the modern battlespace. In this increasingly contested and congested environment, situational awareness is key in tactical operations. How do you meet such a challenge without compromising the need to remain undetected and to deploy with speed and agility? The solution is passive sensing, sensors that are totally silent and don’t emit signals; but can detect electromagnetic emissions. Passive sensors are nothing new. But, a compact, man-portable system with the ability to support tactical operations at every level, is something new. We call it Sirius Compact, a sensor that can make being silent a very powerful activity.

POONGSAN CORPORATION
Military Ammunition
Poongsan participates in the defense industry based on its production technology for copper and copper alloy products, which are the basic materials for ammunition, and has large-scale dedicated production lines for each type of ammunition at its Angang and Busan plants, supplying everything from 5.56mm small-diameter ammunition to 155mm howitzer shells for the military. We develop and supply all types of ammunition for use.
Poongsan has an integrated production system that not only procures materials and parts such as new ammunition, propellants, and links, but also fills and assembles gunpowder, thereby achieving high competitiveness in quality, price, and delivery.
Poongsan produces ammunition of various types and calibers, including anti-aircraft shells, mortar shells, howitzer shells, tank shells, recoilless rifle shells, naval artillery shells, and aviation shells.
In particular, in recent years, new types of ammunition have been developed, such as anti-tank ammunition with improved penetration, range extender ammunition with dramatically extended range, Goal Keeper ammunition used in Korean destroyers, and dual-purpose ammunition that can suppress tanks and multiple troops at the same time. We are also achieving great results in improving the performance of conventional ammunition. Additionally, MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) and are responsible for the production of combined warheads including submunitions, which are key components.
Poongsan operates an independent quality control organization separate from the production division, and in particular, has a perfect quality assurance system, with each process and lot undergoing strict inspection by a government inspection agency.
Poongsan will continue to contribute to independent national defense by improving the performance of existing ammunition based on a consistent production system and advanced quality control system, and by promoting continuous research and development of advanced precision ammunition in line with the changing trends of modern warfare, which is becoming more advanced due to scientific development. It will.
