Temperature Calibrated Pressure Sensors The Air Data Unit features very high accuracy absolute and differential pressure sensors. These are factory calibrated over a wide temperature range to further increase measurement accuracy and provide the best air data possible through varying conditions. Power Up Self-Calibration On top of factory temperature calibration, every time the air data unit powers up, it performs a self excitation calibration to adjust for small deviations of bias and scaling error. This allows the system to compensate for calibration aging and means that it never needs to be returned to the factory for recalibration. Reliability The Air Data Unit is built on top of a safety oriented real time operating system and all software is designed and tested to safety standards with fault tolerance. Its communication interface is optically isolated and the hardware is designed and tested to MIL spec.

Motus’s inertial performance exceeds some FOG IMUs and is up to 100x smaller and 10x cheaper. Motus is put through Advanced Navigation’s intensive calibration process to provide consistently accurate data over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Miniature Package Never before has such high inertial performance been available in such a small package. Motus consumes just over 1 cubic inch in volume and weighs only 26 grams. This makes it ideal for weight and size sensitive applications. Motus is available in an OEM package suitable for integration into larger products or an enclosed package for external and standalone use. Advanced Signal Processing Motus samples its sensors synchronously at 1000Hz through six individual 24-bit differential ADCs which minimizes noise as well as providing optimal thermal calibration and performance characteristics. 14 separate heavily filtered regulated power supplies ensure that each sensor and ADC is operating off the cleanest possible power supply. Reliability Motus has been designed from the ground up for mission critical control applications where reliability is very important. The hardware is designed and manufactured to mil standards. High Update Rate Motus outputs temperature calibrated sensor data at 1000Hz as well as filtered attitude at the same rate. To guarantee maximum safety and reliability, our DA 30 features a brushless motor and a contactless wear-free position sensor. This means maximum service life with the greatest‐possible power delivery and its design prevents electromagnetic emissions (EMI) caused by brush sparking. The housing made of saltwater‐resistant aluminum is HART‐coat treated, meets the IP‐67 standard for water and dust sealing and provides an integrated Sub‐D connector (MIL spec. circular connector or cable gland on request). The DA 30 series can be equipped with a standard PWM input (Pulse Width Modulation) that has two different interfaces: a differential, galvanic isolated interface (Opto‐Coupler) and a single‐ended interface with CMOS levels that is also used to program the servo parameters. It includes analog position feedback to detect the drive shaft position. A differential RS‐422 PWM interface can be chosen instead of the opto‐coupled interface. The DA 30 with digital serial command interface (RS‐485) receives its commands via a CRC secured protocol. It can return not only the shaft position in digital format, but also several diagnostic data such as the level of the supply voltage, current consumption and the temperature of the motor and electronics in digital form (optionally also the humidity within the actuator case). These kind of diagnostic capabilities help to determine the health state of the actuators before, during and after deployment.
