This miniaturized system allows, depending on the desired configuration, to move very precisely between 1 and 3 sets of lenses over a stroke of several centimeters. The design has been optimized to ensure perfect alignment of the lenses and to minimize their tilt throughout the movement. This optomechanical system mainly consists of high-precision standard MPS and FAULHABER modules, such as brushless or stepper motors, ground ball screws with double nuts and linear ball bearings. It is particularly recommended for focusing a laser over a long distance, for example for the guidance of unmanned flying objects or for communication between flying objects. The number of lens sets, lens size and stroke can be configured at will.

Technology research that needs to be developed/secured to efficiently train future combat pilots ETS must have the ability to provide a realistic training environment in which pilots can immerse themselves in training through the use of simulations and CGFs within a real platform. The advantage of ETS is that it provides trainees with a training experience that is close to the real thing and reduces overall system operating costs by replacing real systems and consumables with simulations. The SDT F 16 Combat Training Pod is mounted on F-16 and similar air platforms in an external pod, and ensures efficiency in exercises and in the provision of air-to-air and air-to-ground tactics training to pilots. In collaboration with Hanwha Systems, we developed and optimized a Transformer-based AI model for ship and aircraft detection on embedded platforms. Targeting NVIDIA Jetson Orin AGX, the project utilized the MSAR (640×640) dataset along with large-scale training databases built from public sources. The RT-DETR model, currently under review, was optimized through hardware-friendly design, Int8 quantization, and specialized inference acceleration. As a result, the solution achieved up to 5x faster inference speed while maintaining accuracy, reaching 20% of NVIDIA TensorRT performance. This demonstrates the ability to deliver reliable, real-time detection capabilities in resource-constrained embedded environments, enabling next-generation defense and surveillance applications.
