Hermetic connectors are a special class of sealed Mil /Aero interconnect that incorporates glass-to-metal or other highly-engineered sealing technology. Hermetic seal connectors are specified for applications as divergent as submarines and orbiting satellites. They are deployed to resist moisture ingress in underground applications and to withstand pressure differentials in vacuum chambers, laboratory equipment and commercial and military aircraft. Hermetic seal connectors, such as the MIL-DTL-38999 Series I, II, III and IV supplied by Glenair, are principally designed for use in military aerospace — in fact, the sealing requirement for connector hermeticity was originally driven by military electronic applications. But the products are equally at home in commercial applications such as oil-patch, logging equipment or medical devices.

Toxic gases, such as Silane (SiH4), Nitrogen Trifluoride (NF3), Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6), Ammonia (NH3), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), etc. must be contained in IMDG certified MEGC tubes for ocean transportation. For high purity gases such as SiH₄, and NF₃, DS Aether CT provides internal-polished tubes to a grade of 3S, 25S, etc. depending on customer's requirements. DS Aether CT’s tubes keep moisture levels below 1 ppm or 3 ppm by a heated vacuuming process so that gas quality can be maintained at high purity level.

In addition, they are used extensively in ground-based vehicles such as race cars, trucks, tanks, and motorcycles, to name a few. 60XX & 61XX Series: Our 60XX & 61XX Series blade antennas have quasi-uniform null-free hemispherical gain patterns and may be provided in either straight or rounded blade configurations. 60XX and 61XX Series blade antennas are available in standard and high powered versions. With sufficient airflow, our standard blades handle an average power of 25 - 30W CW and our High Powered blades can handle an average power of 80W CW. These blade antennas share a common footprint with varying height. Multiband: Haigh-Farr Multiband blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas with additional bandwidth. UHF: Haigh-Farr UHF blade antennas provide coverage down to 380 MHz and up to 470 MHz in two unique form factors. Our 6300-X series of blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas in the larger blade structure required at UHF-band. Our P/N’s 16230-XXX and 16400-XXX are low profile, mechanically robust designs that can be custom tuned to meet discrete UHF frequencies, with an option to add thermal protection for high temperature environments.
