ILSUNG COMPOSITES
Carbon Fiber Composites (CF-SMC)
1. Integrated Production System Equipped with in-house CF-SMC compression molding equipment, we provide a complete one-stop solution—from sheet production to final composite molding—tailored to customer requirements. This ensures both exceptional quality and production efficiency. In line with ESG management, we also utilize our proprietary recycled carbon fiber technology to recycle CFRP waste generated during CF-SMC production. 2. Moldability & Productivity ILSUNG’s carbon fiber SMC technology offers superior moldability compared to conventional continuous CFRP and aluminum. With a rapid curing speed of about 1 minute per 1 mm thickness, it enables high-speed, mass production. Complex and precise geometries can be molded reliably, delivering strong competitiveness for both simple and highly engineered components. 3. Exceptional Lightweight Performance CF-SMC has a lower density than aluminum castings while maintaining high mechanical strength, delivering the optimal lightweight solution for industries where weight reduction is critical. 4. Balanced Performance This technology not only achieves lightweight properties but also ensures a well-balanced combination of mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, and durability. It maintains stable performance under extreme environments and repeated loads, making it highly suitable for automotive, aerospace, and defense applications where reliability is critical. 5. Cost Competitiveness Compared to CFRP, it provides a lower-cost structure and high-speed molding capability, ensuring excellent price competitiveness. This significantly improves cost efficiency in industries that demand large-scale production—such as automotive, aerospace, and defense—and strengthens its growth potential within the composites market.

SUPER TAC IMU - Super-Tactical (TAC) Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU
The new Super-TAC IMU integrates three fiber optic gyros that exceed tactical grade performance with three high-accuracy Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) accelerometers and state-of-the-art support electronics in a single small, lightweight package. This solution addresses the need for superior inertial performance in a tactical- grade package, critical for operation in GPS denied and contested environments. The Super-TAC IMU measures change in velocity and angle, utilizing a configurable variable synchronous data link control (SDLC) digital serial bus. The Super-TAC is configured to offer customers the best value solution when designing new systems as well as provide the flexibility to upgrade existing platforms. The Super-TAC IMU employs state-of-the-art optics with fewer components, providing significant performance and reliability improvements across standard military environments. Background Emcore, located in Budd Lake, NJ has been designing, developing and producing inertial components, sensors and navigation systems for Space, Ground, and Avionic applications for over 35 years. Emcore has been developing Fiber Optic Gyros (FOGs) since the early 1990s, producing and delivering IMU products with performance ranging from tactical to strategic grade PERFORMANCE GYRO PERFORMANCE Bias Stability < 0.05 °/hr. Digital Mission Engineering
Digital mission engineering tools connect every stage of the engineering product lifecycle, from initial design to operation. They enable reality-based 3D simulation across multi-domain environments such as air, space, land, and sea by incorporating high-resolution terrain, satellite orbits, RF and radar systems, and sensor environments to accurately replicate real mission conditions. With accurate dynamics-based physical models at the core, these tools provide quantitative analysis of relative positioning between systems, changes in altitude and attitude, line-of-sight availability, and communication link status. Users can predict and evaluate mission elements such as sensor operations, communication links, platform maneuvers, and orbit optimization through scenario-based simulations.

PLANE WINDOWS
Plane Windows are used as substrates for a variety of applications, such as laser window, output couplers, beamsplitters, beam combiners, mirrors, dichroic filters and plate polarizers. Considerations in selecting window substrates include transmission range, absorption coefficient, incident laser power density and environmental factors such as pressure, temperature, moisture, abrasion and corrosion. Plane Windows listed under UV / VIS / NIR substrates are specified for applications involving coating wavelengths 193nm ≤ λ〈2.0 μm. Units for these substrates are given in mm. Plane Windows listed under IR substrates are specified for applications involving coating wavelengths λ≥ 2.0 μm. Units for these substrates are given in inches. Refer to the THIN FILM COATINGS section for information on coatings that can be applied to these substrates.
