The Haigh-Farr family of rugged Blade antennas is available in frequencies ranging from UHF to upper C-band. Since 1972, our blade antennas have a demonstrated reliability of use in high-performance airborne applications. In addition, they are used extensively in ground-based vehicles such as race cars, trucks, tanks, and motorcycles, to name a few. 60XX & 61XX Series: Our 60XX & 61XX Series blade antennas have quasi-uniform null-free hemispherical gain patterns and may be provided in either straight or rounded blade configurations. 60XX and 61XX Series blade antennas are available in standard and high powered versions. With sufficient airflow, our standard blades handle an average power of 25 - 30W CW and our High Powered blades can handle an average power of 80W CW. These blade antennas share a common footprint with varying height. Multiband: Haigh-Farr Multiband blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas with additional bandwidth. UHF: Haigh-Farr UHF blade antennas provide coverage down to 380 MHz and up to 470 MHz in two unique form factors. Our 6300-X series of blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas in the larger blade structure required at UHF-band. Our P/N’s 16230-XXX and 16400-XXX are low profile, mechanically robust designs that can be custom tuned to meet discrete UHF frequencies, with an option to add thermal protection for high temperature environments.

Hydraulic top bracing is an attenuation device installed between the main engine and the hull of the ship to reduce thermal expansion and vibration from the main engine to natural frequencies. The operating principle is an automatic control operating system through in/out and on/off the operating range of the hydraulic top bracing according to the rpm of the main engine. Giraffe 1X is an ideal air surveillance component in the Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) domain that provides ground based air defence commanders with engagement quality target data, drone detection and Counter-Artillery, Rocket and Mortar (C-RAM) sense and warn within a single solution. It is the ideal main sensor for a Very Short Range Radar (VSHORAD) system and can be used as a gap filler that complements larger GBAD systems, or as a Counter-UAS (C-UAS) solution.

This miniaturized system allows, depending on the desired configuration, to move very precisely between 1 and 3 sets of lenses over a stroke of several centimeters. The design has been optimized to ensure perfect alignment of the lenses and to minimize their tilt throughout the movement. This optomechanical system mainly consists of high-precision standard MPS and FAULHABER modules, such as brushless or stepper motors, ground ball screws with double nuts and linear ball bearings. It is particularly recommended for focusing a laser over a long distance, for example for the guidance of unmanned flying objects or for communication between flying objects. The number of lens sets, lens size and stroke can be configured at will.
