The Fuel Heater is engine-mounted with fluid connections to both the engine fuel supply system and the engine lube oil system. The heater provides fuel heating for fuel de-icing, using engine lube oil flow during aircraft cold start and cold operation periods. PELICAN-D LW is a 640x512 elements, 15μm pitch, Type-2 SuperLattice (T2SL) technology based 2D Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) digital IDCA. The new ROIC outputs digital signal, similarly to SCD’s previous digital detectors: Sebastian-320, Sebastian-480, Sebastian-640, Pelican-D, Hercules, and Blackbird. Pelican-D LW is available in the same configurations as the standard (MW) Pelican-D, with a large variety of cold shield apertures and cooler types. The proximity board provides the FPA timing and sensitive power supplies. Camera-Link interface highly simplifies the integration of the detector to the system.

FMP is built around Moog’s world-renowned military motion control technology. Options include integration of Moog’s high-performance stabilization and weapon stores management systems (SMS), providing missile firing capability to suit any mission. Missiles previously only launchable from helicopters may now be fired from ground vehicles with missile combinations able to suit any mission need from any platform.

High impedance D-Sub connectors are designed to ground the outer shield of a twinax or quadrax contact directly to the shell of the connector. A multi-finger ground spring fixed around the shell provides a multi-point contact engagement that affords superior EMI shielding. The end result is an extremely low contact resistance when measured from the contact outer body to the connector flange, ensuring minimal RF noise and high durability of over 500 mating cycles.
