It is a hybrid-powered(Engine + Generator) multicopter system that significantly overcomes the limitations of short flight times typically associated with battery-powered drones. It can carry up to 10 kg of mission equipment and perform operations for up to 2 hours, with the capability to autonomously land on moving vehicles and naval vessels. Its versatility is further enhanced through the development of various mission equipment, making it suitable for multipurpose applications.

Between Earth and space: stratosphere-compatible, solar-powered high-altitude aircraft, known as HAPs (High Altitude Platforms), offer a sustainable alternative to satellites for Earth observation and communication. They are reusable, cost-effective and flexible in use. The DLR joint project HAP-alpha is developing such a technology demonstrator and is endeavoring to establish a complete system capable of permanent operation. The aim is for DLR to build up comprehensive expertise for the development of high-performance, high-flying solar aircraft and to play an active role in shaping the legal framework. In summer 2025, the HAP-alpha successfully passed a ground vibration test.

The A-C series is the most lightweight and low profile altitude switch in the Precision Sensors product line. The capsule based sensing element provides repeatable and precise absolute pressure threshold detection by sensing changes in the ambient air pressure compared to an evacuated capsule. The skeletal construction removes the need for bulky pressure fittings.

Typical uses include aircraft cabin air pressure monitoring.
