The audience hears the interpreter's voice through the receivers. It is often used in conferences, forums, symposiums and memorials attended by a large number of people. ◎Consecutive interpretation Unlike simultaneous interpretation, this is conducted served after a speaker's words end. It is mainly used for meetings with limited attendance, such as ministerial talks and summits. ◎Accompanying interpretation This is similar to consecutive interpretation, but the interpreter moves with the speaker and interprets. The SCFAN-CTRL-10U is an internal fan control module installed inside the chassis to provide advanced cooling control and system thermal management. It integrates with FAN trays and operates through Kontron’s Power Supply Control Module (PSCM), supporting up to two 12V @ 3.5A fans and seven 12V @ 2.5A fans. This module ensures stable cooling performance and system reliability for high-density VPX-based embedded systems. It is deployed in the M-SAM-II multi-function radar system, where it provides precise and efficient cooling control for mission-critical radar operations.

This Control Actuation System (CAS) is a guidance system for unmanned flying objects. It consists of three MPS fin actuators that each independently position an aerodynamic fin. The maximum angle of incidence is ±8°, which allows the device to carry out highly precise dynamic manoeuvres. The miniature fin actuators that make up this Control Actuation System are manufactured by MPS Microsystems and were designed based on customer specifications. Designed to guide a very small object and disposing of an extremely limited space, these fin actuators meet strict requirements in terms of performance, weight - less than 100 g - and dimensions. To reduce the length of this actuator, MPS Microsystems used part of the screw length as the motor axis. This screw is equipped with a very compact 4-point contact bearing that simultaneously absorbs axial and radial loads. The angular play on the aileron axis is less than 0.1° rms. This actuator meets the storage and vibration requirements of military equipment.

The focus on buy-to-fly ratios highlights the contributing role that near net shape processing can offer. This has undoubtedly been a driver in increasing this service offering from AMA. As a major contributor in the aircraft manufacturing supply chain, this is a key area of development for AMA and its companies. Customers are increasingly looking to optimise their production processes. This is primarily driven by the need to maximise their own spindle time for core business activities, with AMA therefore undertaking some of the machining processes. It can take many forms, from simple cutting to more intricate processing in which near net shape pieces are supplied. Even in AMA businesses whose business is predominantly transactional (so called ‘spot business’) rather than contractual, the processing element is increasing. Pre-machined kits of parts to individual specifications are becoming more commonplace. In addition to freeing up time for customers and OEMs to focus on more profitable final processing, near net shape processes can improve product quality, reduce variability and enhance component design functionality. As the industry continues to search for ways to lower buy-to-fly ratios and reduce the amount of waste, near net shape processing will have a greater role to play.

Between Earth and space: stratosphere-compatible, solar-powered high-altitude aircraft, known as HAPs (High Altitude Platforms), offer a sustainable alternative to satellites for Earth observation and communication. They are reusable, cost-effective and flexible in use. The DLR joint project HAP-alpha is developing such a technology demonstrator and is endeavoring to establish a complete system capable of permanent operation. The aim is for DLR to build up comprehensive expertise for the development of high-performance, high-flying solar aircraft and to play an active role in shaping the legal framework. In summer 2025, the HAP-alpha successfully passed a ground vibration test.
