Orbit’s TT&C ground stations antenna must function flawlessly in order to provide a narrow beam width link in one-time single opportunity, flight test event. Add this factor to the turbulent weather that is often present at the ground station locations, and you are looking at a formidable hurdle. Orbit provides fixed, transportable, and portable antenna systems that feature auto-track, RSSI-track and GPS track tracking modes, unsurpassed tracking accuracy and durability to deliver the stable connection required for dependable data throughput. Our stabilized T&T antenna systems work in extreme temperature conditions (-40°C to 55°C) and in rough weather, for example, at base stations that are close to the ocean or on high mountain ranges.

A splitter is required in such scenarios.  The CLS-30T2S amplifies and transmits image signals from a single camera to up to two PCs, supporting Base/Medium/Full configurations (10 Taps supported).  The Master side transmits RS232 and CC1~4 signals, while the Slave side replicates and transmits image signals only.

It is a target drone that supports Live-fire training of various anti-aircraft weapon systems (Anti-Aircraft Gun, Guided Missiles, etc.) of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Target drone take on the role of aggressor aircraft in training. When the target drone flies, the anti-aircraft weapon system participating in the training detects the target drone, conducts tracking training, and then conducts live fire to directly shoot down the target drone. In addition, we are developing services through anti-drone system (radar detection and tracking) performance testing and education/training based on the know-how and technology accumulated through live-fire training target drone operation services.

Between Earth and space: stratosphere-compatible, solar-powered high-altitude aircraft, known as HAPs (High Altitude Platforms), offer a sustainable alternative to satellites for Earth observation and communication. They are reusable, cost-effective and flexible in use. The DLR joint project HAP-alpha is developing such a technology demonstrator and is endeavoring to establish a complete system capable of permanent operation. The aim is for DLR to build up comprehensive expertise for the development of high-performance, high-flying solar aircraft and to play an active role in shaping the legal framework. In summer 2025, the HAP-alpha successfully passed a ground vibration test.
