The nose wheel assembly refers to the complete integrated unit consisting of the wheel, tire, axle, bearings, and associated structural components. In some configurations, it also includes steering mechanisms, shock absorbers (oleo strut), and braking systems (for specific aircraft types). The assembly is engineered for durability, precision, and reliability, enabling the aircraft to safely absorb impact forces during landing and provide accurate steering during taxiing.

This miniaturized system allows, depending on the desired configuration, to move very precisely between 1 and 3 sets of lenses over a stroke of several centimeters.
