TERRAPIN X is a rugged handheld laser rangefinder by Safran Vectronix, offering up to 3,000 m range with 8× magnification, Class 1 eye-safe laser (905 nm), and a 28 mm objective lens. It features precise beam divergence (1.2 × 0.5 mrad), slope and azimuth compensation, scan mode (≥2 readings/sec), and durable Ryton® housing with shock-resistant rubber armor (IP67). Advanced Bluetooth connectivity integrates with mobile apps and devices such as Kestrel LiNK, Garmin, Strelok Pro, and includes a dedicated smartphone app.

The Cardinal 1280 is a high-definition SWIR InGaAs detector featuring a 10μm pixel pitch. This detector offers high resolution and sensitivity, enabling EO/IR systems to capitalize on the SWIR spectrum for low-light imaging and extremely long-range daytime surveillance, even in challenging weather conditions like smoke, dust, fog, or rain. It incorporates SCD's advanced Asynchronous Laser Pulse Detection (ALPD) technology. A Thermo Electric Cooler (TEC) is included for optimal performance of the Focal Plane Array (FPA) in low light level scenarios. Neustrelitz is located 100 kilometres north of Berlin. Here, DLR receives data from the German radar missions TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X, the KOMPSAT satellites of the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), the European Sentinel fleet and the American Landsat series, among others. The multi-antenna and multi-mission configuration of the ground station allows information products to be delivered to customers within minutes after data reception. These include products for national and European authorities for maritime safety, such as wind and sea state estimates, ice classification, ship navigation through ice-covered waters, detection of navigation irregularities or oil spills as well as the space weather. The Neustrelitz ground station offers data reception in the S, X, and Ka bands as well as data uplink in the S and X bands.
