Technology research that needs to be developed/secured to efficiently train future combat pilots ETS must have the ability to provide a realistic training environment in which pilots can immerse themselves in training through the use of simulations and CGFs within a real platform. The advantage of ETS is that it provides trainees with a training experience that is close to the real thing and reduces overall system operating costs by replacing real systems and consumables with simulations. Developed countries are already continuing to attempt to apply various core technologies to increase the efficiency of ETS. The DLR exhibit "Maritime Situation Image" at the Seoul ADEX 2025 uses a VR presentation to illustrate how the use of maritime situation images can be utilised for the protection of maritime infrastructures. Three subject areas are presented and explained: the ‘SeaCat’ autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) concept on object detection in the underwater area, the topic muon tomography, i.e. the use of cosmic radiation (muons) for the tomographic examination of objects such as freight containers, and Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) on the detection of ships and submerged objects using fibre optic cables on the seabed.
