Military and Commercial

Hermetic connectors are a special class of sealed Mil /Aero interconnect that incorporates glass-to-metal or other highly-engineered sealing technology. Hermetic seal connectors are specified for applications as divergent as submarines and orbiting satellites. They are deployed to resist moisture ingress in underground applications and to withstand pressure differentials in vacuum chambers, laboratory equipment and commercial and military aircraft. Hermetic seal connectors, such as the MIL-DTL-38999 Series I, II, III and IV supplied by Glenair, are principally designed for use in military aerospace — in fact, the sealing requirement for connector hermeticity was originally driven by military electronic applications. But the products are equally at home in commercial applications such as oil-patch, logging equipment or medical devices.

Electromagnetic activities have become critical in the modern battlespace. In this increasingly contested and congested environment, situational awareness is key in tactical operations. How do you meet such a challenge without compromising the need to remain undetected and to deploy with speed and agility? The solution is passive sensing, sensors that are totally silent and don’t emit signals; but can detect electromagnetic emissions. Passive sensors are nothing new. But, a compact, man-portable system with the ability to support tactical operations at every level, is something new. Wing shells, side shells and fuselage sections are usually made of carbon fibre composites and glued together during the production process. With many components, a groove or an open edge remains after the bonding process, which must be filled or sealed. A modified two-component epoxy resin is often mixed and then applied manually. This often entails long production times and complex quality controls. Equally high material costs due to the processing of materials from cartridges. ViscoTec defies short pot life and materials that are difficult to handle: Thanks to a coherent overall system from material removal to material application, this process can be automated. The two components are taken separately from cartridges, hobbocks or drums and fed via hose lines to a two-component dosing system. Only at the very end of the process they are mixed in a static mixing tube and applied to the substrate (e.g. via a nozzle). The process is controlled and monitored by pressure sensors.

The ENS4000(Sub-6 5G Outdoor base station) is designed for outdoor services in the n79 (4.7GHz) band, providing coverage on the kilometer scale and enabling seamless private 5G service even in outdoor environments.

The L-band 8-channel filter bank receiver module is equipped with eight internal filter bank channels, enabling improved reception performance by isolating specific sub-bands within the receive frequency range. A 100W limiter at the input stage protects the receiver from high-power signals, and the module offers a low noise figure of 3.0 dB or less. The input P1dB for the receiver is -20 dBm, and the module features a built-in path self-test function.
