The lens applied to FOBEX-P expands the size of the beam of the original optical signal, transforms it into a parallel light form, makes optical alignment easy, reduces sensitivity to external contamination, and provides consistent performance despite external thermal changes. Cleaning is also easy. FOBEX-P was designed to be compatible with the existing contact type M29504/4-05 size, and can be used by replacing contact pins and sockets with FOBEX-P.
