Whether satellites, spacecraft or space debris – GESTRA, the "German Experimental Surveillance and Tracking Radar", is a state-of-the-art radar system for observing and tracking objects in space. It operates in the microwave range and explores the Low Earth Orbit of 300 to 3,000 kilometres, i.e. the range in which most satellites and the International Space Station (ISS) are located. This makes it possible, for example, to protect space systems or the ISS from a collision with debris particles by providing a timely warning. Millions of tiny particles orbit the earth and, at a speed of around 28,000 km/h, pose a threat to active space technologies. GESTRA was developed and built by the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR on behalf of the German Space Agency at DLR.

The ACTUS® Laser Boresight is a precision device mounted directly onto the gun barrel, accurately indicating the exact aiming position of the muzzle. With a divergence angle of less than 0.6 mrad, it provides exceptional accuracy, making it an essential tool for precise alignment and target acquisition. The circular laser beam, with a 7.5 cm diameter, is visible to the naked eye from distances of up to 125 meters. The laser output is easily adjustable, offering versatility for use in various environments. Engineered for easy attachment to the gun barrel without causing any damage, the ACTUS® Laser Boresight also includes a remote harness for convenient operation from up to 4 meters away. Supporting 100-240V AC voltage, it ensures stable operation and excellent compatibility worldwide.

Side shells, wing shells and fuselage structures are made of CFK, GFK, aluminium or organic sheets and get connected during production. Sealants are used to seal the connection surfaces. These are usually two-component polysulphides, which have to be applied in different geometries. Typical applications are: Fillet sealings, oversealings, interface sealings and seal caps. Due to their properties, polysulfides require very low pressure and shear handling. The compressibility of the fillers contained in the medium requires a high level of expertise and a coherent overall system from material removal to application. With manual application, long production times and high material ejection have a negative influence on the complete process. Complex quality standards are required due to the risk of human error. With the in-house developments of the vipro-DUOMIX from ViscoTec, this process can be depicted fully automatically. The individual nozzle design is also adapted to each application. The result is a controlled dosage in compliance with the specifications and at the same time the highest repeat accuracy.

STERNA System accurately finds True North in virtually all terrains and regardless of the weather conditions. The performance of STERNA System is not disturbed by gear carried by its operator or if used next to heavy armored vehicles. It remains highly accurate even when deployed on reinforced concrete floors or in dense urban settings. STERNA System operates reliably even in GPS denied environments and does not require the operator to carry any support resources to determine True North. If your mission success depends on the highest level of accuracy and precision, there is no substitute for STERNA System.

The 100W High Power Amplifier is an L-band amplifier that delivers 100W output across two channels with a 60% duty cycle. It offers a gain of over 50 dB, with output flatness of 2 dB depending on the input signal level. The amplifier provides an ACLR performance of -20 dBc at maximum output. Equipped with an output-stage bandpass filter (BPF), it achieves excellent harmonic suppression of -70 dBc. Built-in monitoring functions include output signal and temperature monitoring.
