The SWIR & NIR 25-250mm f/5.5 (NFOV) f/4.0 (WFOV) continuous zoom lens is a first to market low-Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP), compact lens, for the newly introduced 5μm SXGA, as well as for 10μm SXGA, and 15μm VGA SWIR detectors. The SWIR & NIR zoom lens employs a unique mechanical and optical design, resulting in an all-around smaller and lighter unit with only 860gr in weight, and 224mm in length, making it approximately 60% lighter than similar existing SWIR lenses. The SWIR lens is also chromatically corrected to support a broader short-wave IR wavelength regime from 0.7-1.7μm and operates with minimal distortion. Liquid Measurement System (LMS) capacitance AC and DC fuel gauging probes use lightweight and durable carbon composite materials. In addition to being some of the lightest fuel probes in the industry, they are also virtually immune to corrosion, cracking, dents, and extreme field conditions. Our capacitance probes are inherently crash resistance by collapsing onto itself during hard impact landings to avoid tank penetration and fuel leaks. All electrical connections on the probe are bonded, and there is no friction or riveted electrical connections.

Neustrelitz is located 100 kilometres north of Berlin. Here, DLR receives data from the German radar missions TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X, the KOMPSAT satellites of the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), the European Sentinel fleet and the American Landsat series, among others. The multi-antenna and multi-mission configuration of the ground station allows information products to be delivered to customers within minutes after data reception. These include products for national and European authorities for maritime safety, such as wind and sea state estimates, ice classification, ship navigation through ice-covered waters, detection of navigation irregularities or oil spills as well as the space weather. The Neustrelitz ground station offers data reception in the S, X, and Ka bands as well as data uplink in the S and X bands.
