PELICAN-D JT is a MWIR detector for missile applications. The FPA is InSb based, having digital Readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC) in a format of 640 x 512 with 15μm pitch. Pelican-D JT has a unique structure of Dewar which enables very fast cool down time and hence quick mission readiness using Joule-Thomson (JT) cooler. Due to the low heat load on the focal plane, the detector achieves long mission duration. The Transmit/Receive Module splits 2 transmit input channels into 32 output channels. Each channel delivers an output power of at least 3.2 W with a transmit efficiency of 35.5% or higher. It features independent phase control for each transmit channel. On the receive side, 32 input channels are combined into two output channels. The total receive gain is 34 dB or greater, and each channel supports individual gain and phase control. The noise figure is 3.5 dB or lower per channel. Built-in monitoring functions include internal temperature monitoring and output signal monitoring.
