THETIS-C is a compact multifunction thermal imaging system that provides soldiers with an advanced, light weight solution for day and night reconnaissance, surveillance and forward observation purposes. It also gives the blue forces a real-time target acquisition and target coordinate calculation capabilities. This rocket nozzle featuring conformal cooling channels and isogrid ribbing was manufactured using EOS Copper CuCP, a pure copper material optimized for additive manufacturing. The production required approximately 72 hours, taking advantage of the exceptional thermal and electrical conductivity of pure copper to meet demanding aerospace performance requirements. As one of the few companies in Korea capable of performing metal additive manufacturing with pure copper, we provide advanced technical expertise and support OEM production as well as collaborative technology development projects with various industrial partners. The showcased component was designed by nTopology and demonstrates the synergy of advanced design optimization with state-of-the-art copper additive manufacturing.

Military cable assemblies are vital for the defense and aerospace industries. Cable assemblies must be built with high-performing materials and components that withstand harsh conditions, such as vibrations, high temperatures, and chemical exposure.

Developed and manufactured by MPS Microsystems based on customer specifications, this lens actuator forms an essential component of a laser guidance system for unmanned flying objects. It enables 2 lens groups to be displaced individually over a total range of 48 mm and makes it possible to focus a laser over a distance of several kilometres. The main technical difficulty inherent to this actuator lies in meeting very stringent requirements for alignment between the two lens groups (< 10 µm) and in maintaining a very small tilt of the lenses over their entire stroke (lateral deviation < 2 µm). The key part making it possible to ensure such specifications is a frame machined by milling from an aluminium block, into which the 2 drive systems are fastened. These systems each consist of a Ø16 mm brushless motor and a Ø4 mm ball screw with an axial play of less than 5 µm. Backlash-free and frictionless sliding of the lens holders is ensured by standard L306 linear ball bearings manufactured by MPS Microsystems.
