Designed on MPS Microsystems’ modular optomechanics platform, the High-Speed Coaxial Lens Actuator delivers custom-engineered, micron-level alignment in a footprint of just 170 × 87 × 45 mm. Two brushless motors drive lens holders (Ø 12.7 mm) that move in the same precision-machined bore, guaranteeing perfect coaxiality throughout the 3.75 mm stroke and no shimming or iterative alignment required. The closed-loop cam mechanism runs friction-free, ensuring a maintenance-free stage that can be used in laser machining heads, spectrometers or 3-D scanners and keeps working for millions of cycles. METRAVIB PEARL is a miniaturized acoustic gunshot detection system initially designed for infantry and dismounted soldier who is in direct contact with the enemy. PEARL provides the capability of finding in a few seconds and in a very intuitive way the origin of the shots that are threatening them. The PEARL system can be installed, using a Picatinny rail, on an assault rifle, a sniper rifle, a machine gun or multifunction goggles/sights. Temperature Calibrated Pressure Sensors The Air Data Unit features very high accuracy absolute and differential pressure sensors. These are factory calibrated over a wide temperature range to further increase measurement accuracy and provide the best air data possible through varying conditions. Power Up Self-Calibration On top of factory temperature calibration, every time the air data unit powers up, it performs a self excitation calibration to adjust for small deviations of bias and scaling error. This allows the system to compensate for calibration aging and means that it never needs to be returned to the factory for recalibration. Reliability The Air Data Unit is built on top of a safety oriented real time operating system and all software is designed and tested to safety standards with fault tolerance. Its communication interface is optically isolated and the hardware is designed and tested to MIL spec.
