Active phased array fire control radar (AESA) for aircraft A fire control multi-function radar (MFR) that can simultaneously detect, identify, and track multiple targets, including in the air and on the ground, and has SAR and NCTR functions. Aircraft (fighter)-mounted AESA radar is a core sensor for fighter jets to perform day/night/all-weather multiple missions. It operates in multiple modes such as air-to-air/air-to-ground/air-to-sea/support mode, and acquires ground images and air/ground in electronic warfare situations. The UHF-band TRX module features transmit diversity, allowing selection between two transmit ports and providing an output power of at least 1 W. It includes a gain control function for transmission and an internal local oscillator for IF-to-UHF upconversion. Transmit functions also include ALC (Automatic Level Control) and over-temperature protection. On the receive side, the module selects one of two input channels and performs downconversion.
