High Power Polarizing Beamsplitter Cube coatings are deposited on the hypotenuse of right angle prisms that are optically contacted. They are designed to separate an incident beam into its S and P polarization components with an average extinction ratio (TP/TS) in excess of 500 : 1. The incident energy is split into two orthogonally polarized beams that emerge at 90。with respect to each other. These coatings were developed specifically for use in high power pulsed and CW laser applications.

MIL-DTL-26482 seriesⅡ has the same contact arrangement as MIL-DTL-26482 series I, and the bayonnet coupling method is applied.
