The Air Turbine Starter (ATS) is a key component of an aircraft's secondary power system, driven by Bleed Air supplied from the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) to accelerate the engine up to approximately 8,900 RPM, enabling engine start. The UHF-band TRX module features transmit diversity, allowing selection between two transmit ports and providing an output power of at least 1 W. It includes a gain control function for transmission and an internal local oscillator for IF-to-UHF upconversion.
