The system is tailored for green propellant storage (C₂H₆, N₂O), offering an exceptionally lightweight yet robust solution for orbital transfer vehicles and CubeSat-class platforms. The Haigh-Farr family of rugged Blade antennas is available in frequencies ranging from UHF to upper C-band. Since 1972, our blade antennas have a demonstrated reliability of use in high-performance airborne applications. In addition, they are used extensively in ground-based vehicles such as race cars, trucks, tanks, and motorcycles, to name a few. 60XX & 61XX Series: Our 60XX & 61XX Series blade antennas have quasi-uniform null-free hemispherical gain patterns and may be provided in either straight or rounded blade configurations. 60XX and 61XX Series blade antennas are available in standard and high powered versions. With sufficient airflow, our standard blades handle an average power of 25 - 30W CW and our High Powered blades can handle an average power of 80W CW. These blade antennas share a common footprint with varying height. Multiband: Haigh-Farr Multiband blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas with additional bandwidth. UHF: Haigh-Farr UHF blade antennas provide coverage down to 380 MHz and up to 470 MHz in two unique form factors. Our 6300-X series of blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas in the larger blade structure required at UHF-band. To meet those industry needs, Smiths Interconnect has developed the NXS Series, an advanced high speed, high density interconnect to provide next generation data on demand. Equipped with the Hypertac® hyperboloid contact technology the NXS system can withstand data rate application up to 50 Gbps (per channel) requirements, including extreme levels of vibration, shock and climatic testing above 2100 g. The NXS Series is designed in a robust construction with 4 or 12 high speed quadrax (dual-twinax) modules. The recent EMI Flange addition provides the extra benefit of reducing electromagnetic interference. Each ultra-high density quadrax module contains 2 dual twinax at 100 Ω each pair. It is blind mateable, hot pluggable, with ultra-low mating forces and low outgassing materials. In addition, the solderless PCB mount design reduces the customer’s risk and cost of ownership. The connector is mounted after reflow and has no impact on nearby components.
