It Starts With The F-16

Hivemind will deploy as a digital co-pilot on a U.S. Air Force F-16, with the goal of rapidly scaling across next-generation aircraft, F-22s, F-18s, and other fighter jets. Hivemind will make legacy fighters relevant for decades to come and will power the next generation of military aircraft.

Between Earth and space: stratosphere-compatible, solar-powered high-altitude aircraft, known as HAPs (High Altitude Platforms), offer a sustainable alternative to satellites for Earth observation and communication. They are reusable, cost-effective and flexible in use. The DLR joint project HAP-alpha is developing such a technology demonstrator and is endeavoring to establish a complete system capable of permanent operation. The aim is for DLR to build up comprehensive expertise for the development of high-performance, high-flying solar aircraft and to play an active role in shaping the legal framework. In summer 2025, the HAP-alpha successfully passed a ground vibration test.

Model DCL120 Dot Sight is designed and developed specifically for use on .50 caliber (12.7mm) Heavy Machine Guns (HMGs) but not limited to the HMG. This distinctive dot sight adapted the world’s first extra wide lens (170 x 70 mm) which provides accurate shooting in jolting armored vehicles, shaking helicopters and rocking patrol boats with head-up and both eyes open. The X-band LNB is a satellite ground transport terminal that includes a transmission rejection filter and performs downconversion of X-band signals to IF using an internal reference frequency. It features dustproof, moisture-proof, and waterproof protection, along with self-diagnostic functions such as a lock alarm. The unit provides a total gain of over 60 dB and supports a wide bandwidth of 500 MHz. Its frequency stability is maintained within 0.31 ppm.

The first step toward armed helicopters The Bomb Rack Unit (BRU) is a device installed on a helicopter’s Stub-wing to mount various armaments such as rocket launchers and air-to-ground missiles, and it consists of a Pylon Unit and a Bomb Rack Unit. CTLA’s Bomb Rack Unit is equipped with a Boresight function that allows vertical (up/down) and horizontal (left/right) angle adjustments, and a solenoid-actuated free-fall weapon release (Jettison) method is applied. CTLA’s Bomb Rack Unit has passed the system tests for the Light Armed Helicopter (LAH) and received suitability certification, and it is currently in mass production.
