MPS Microsystems is specialized in manufacturing high-precision, miniature linear bearings. We offer a comprehensive range of exceptionally smooth bearings with bore diameters from Ø 2 mm to Ø 6 mm. The balls of these precision bearings meet ‘Grade 3’, the highest quality defined by the ISO 3290/DIN 5401 standard. Whether satellites, spacecraft or space debris – GESTRA, the "German Experimental Surveillance and Tracking Radar", is a state-of-the-art radar system for observing and tracking objects in space. It operates in the microwave range and explores the Low Earth Orbit of 300 to 3,000 kilometres, i.e. the range in which most satellites and the International Space Station (ISS) are located. This makes it possible, for example, to protect space systems or the ISS from a collision with debris particles by providing a timely warning. Millions of tiny particles orbit the earth and, at a speed of around 28,000 km/h, pose a threat to active space technologies. GESTRA was developed and built by the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR on behalf of the German Space Agency at DLR.

Survivability – Improvements to the Fire Suppression and IED jammer components further enhance survivability by reducing the likelihood of system detectability and target acquisition by external systems and defeats external threats.

Mobility – System is capable of maximizing its acceleration capabilities due to the increased engine horsepower in order to provide rapid movement of the System in reaction to combat or other adverse situations. Enhanced mobility function provides driver with improved situational awareness and mobility functionality status. Lethality – Leveraging the lethality functionality from its predecessor, the Bradley A4 consists of full ballistic fire control hosted on a new central processing unit, aided dual-target tracking, automatic gun target adjustment, automatic bore sighting and hunter-killer capabilities. The Bushmaster 25mm cannon fires both explosive and armor piercing rounds, while TOW missiles defeat enemy armor. The 7.62mm coaxial machine gun provides high volume fires at close ranges.

Networkability – Integration of improved computing system assets allows housing of more robust software applications in order to provide improved near real-time networking situational awareness to soldiers on both platform variants.

Supportability – Improvements to on-board diagnostics systems provide increased fault detection and isolation capabilities and added interactive electronic manuals enhance maintenance capability.
