EMCORE
SUPER TAC IMU - Super-Tactical (TAC) Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU
The new Super-TAC IMU integrates three fiber optic gyros that exceed tactical grade performance with three high-accuracy Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) accelerometers and state-of-the-art support electronics in a single small, lightweight package. This solution addresses the need for superior inertial performance in a tactical- grade package, critical for operation in GPS denied and contested environments.
The Super-TAC IMU measures change in velocity and angle, utilizing a configurable variable synchronous data link control (SDLC) digital serial bus. The Super-TAC is configured to offer customers the best value solution when designing new systems as well as provide the flexibility to upgrade existing platforms.
The Super-TAC IMU employs state-of-the-art optics with fewer components, providing significant performance and reliability improvements across standard military environments.
Background
Emcore, located in Budd Lake, NJ has been designing, developing and producing inertial components, sensors and navigation systems for Space, Ground, and Avionic applications for over 35 years. Emcore has been developing Fiber Optic Gyros (FOGs) since the early 1990s, producing and delivering IMU products with performance ranging from tactical to strategic grade

Honeywell Aerospace Technologies
JetWave MCX
Global Wideband Connectivity for Mission Success
Honeywell’s JetWave MCX satellite communications system delivers the world’s most advanced high-speed SATCOM capabilities needed for the most demanding mission profiles. It enables global in-flight broadband data connectivity on nearly any Ka-band network – including Inmarsat’s Global Xpress (GX) network, Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS), and other commercial and military Ka-band networks – making it truly network-agnostic for the most extensive global coverage.
Built on proven, high-speed JetWave technology, JetWave MCX utilizes a wider frequency band (29-31 GHz Tx and 19.2-21.2 GHz Rx), offering access to commercial and military Ka-bands globally. And the dual polarity configuration provides increased bandwidth in high-traffic areas while meeting high-data uplink requirements that military and government operators require. JetWave MCX is designed with “future-proofing” in mind, exceeding current connectivity requirements while enabling expanded customer connectivity needs in the future.
For the unique requirements of military and government operators, JetWave MCX can enable a wide variety of mission-critical applications, such as en-route mission communications, real-time weather, in-flight video conferencing, large file transfer, in-flight mission planning and briefings, ISR video transmission, and secure communications. We offer specialized data packages for ISR missions, making use of the increased upload speed capabilities. Single-IP address network-switching capabilities enable seamless connectivity for users globally, while access to resilient modem waveforms offers additional security and jam-resistance in hostile environments.
JetWave MCX’s high-bandwidth capabilities can transform the aircraft into an “airborne communications node” by receiving data simultaneously from multiple sources – such as UAVs or ground forces – then processing and amalgamating the data for airborne Command and Control or for transmission to ground control.
No matter the mission profile, JetWave MCX offers the resiliency, bandwidth, and network-agnostic capabilities needed to enable mission success.

GESTRA
Whether satellites, spacecraft or space debris – GESTRA, the "German Experimental Surveillance and Tracking Radar", is a state-of-the-art radar system for observing and tracking objects in space. It operates in the microwave range and explores the Low Earth Orbit of 300 to 3,000 kilometres, i.e. the range in which most satellites and the International Space Station (ISS) are located. This makes it possible, for example, to protect space systems or the ISS from a collision with debris particles by providing a timely warning. Millions of tiny particles orbit the earth and, at a speed of around 28,000 km/h, pose a threat to active space technologies. GESTRA was developed and built by the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR on behalf of the German Space Agency at DLR.
