Between Earth and space: stratosphere-compatible, solar-powered high-altitude aircraft, known as HAPs (High Altitude Platforms), offer a sustainable alternative to satellites for Earth observation and communication. They are reusable, cost-effective and flexible in use. The DLR joint project HAP-alpha is developing such a technology demonstrator and is endeavoring to establish a complete system capable of permanent operation. The aim is for DLR to build up comprehensive expertise for the development of high-performance, high-flying solar aircraft and to play an active role in shaping the legal framework. In summer 2025, the HAP-alpha successfully passed a ground vibration test.

This miniaturized system allows, depending on the desired configuration, to move very precisely between 1 and 3 sets of lenses over a stroke of several centimeters. The design has been optimized to ensure perfect alignment of the lenses and to minimize their tilt throughout the movement. This optomechanical system mainly consists of high-precision standard MPS and FAULHABER modules, such as brushless or stepper motors, ground ball screws with double nuts and linear ball bearings. It is particularly recommended for focusing a laser over a long distance, for example for the guidance of unmanned flying objects or for communication between flying objects. The number of lens sets, lens size and stroke can be configured at will.

This fully self-contained pressure test and calibration system combines pressure generation, signal measurement, and loop power to deliver all the convenience of the Druck DPI 610/615, while being half the size, twice as accurate and easy to use. The DPI 611 is the fourth generation of the DPI 600 family, first introduced in 1984. The DPI 600 family revolutionized testing and calibration by providing all the tools for pressure generation and signal measurement in a stand-alone portable package. The DPI 600 soon became the flagship equipment of the industry and today it is simply known as "Druck". Active phased array fire control radar (AESA) for aircraft A fire control multi-function radar (MFR) that can simultaneously detect, identify, and track multiple targets, including in the air and on the ground, and has SAR and NCTR functions. Aircraft (fighter)-mounted AESA radar is a core sensor for fighter jets to perform day/night/all-weather multiple missions. It operates in multiple modes such as air-to-air/air-to-ground/air-to-sea/support mode, and acquires ground images and air/ground in electronic warfare situations. It is essential mission equipment for fighter jets that detects/tracks multiple targets and supports guided missile guidance and gun shooting.

The Fibre Channel D-sub connector series features a multi-finger ground spring fixed around the shell provides a multi-point contact engagement that affords superior EMI shielding. The end result is extremely low contact resistance when measured from the contact outer body to the connector flange. The Fibre Channel D-Sub series also delivers superior performance ensuring minimal RF noise and high durability up to 1,000 mating cycles, while meeting and surpassing all requirements of MIL-STD-202 for shock and vibration. Offered with 150 Ohm quadrax contacts, the connectors are available with 2, 4, 6 or 8 way insert arrangements. Additionally, D-Sub connectors feature ease of assembly, and a robust and comprehensive training package. To ensure that the correct high speed connectors are mated to address specific wiring requirements and keying functions, a keyed jack post option has been incorporated into the design. The six-positioned post allows for 36 possible keying combinations assuring that the correct Fibre Channel D-Sub plug is mated to the correct high speed receptacle. Non-keyed jack post versions are available as well. Fibre Channel D-Sub connectors feature size 3 quadrax contacts which are 30% larger than the size 9 configuration utilized in the 100 Ohm quadrax, ensuring a matched impedance signal throughout the contact mated pair at 150 Ohm differential impedance. These features ensure that Smiths Interconnect's Fibre Channel D-Sub connectors deliver the critical edge customers require.

The X-BEAM TECH HXB Connectors, featuring expanded beam technology, hermaphroditic connection, rugged construction for field deployment have been designed for harsh environment applications such as military tactical communications, avionics, offshore systems, outside broadcast, mining and plant.

The expanded beam technology uses expanded and collimated beams to couple optical fibers without any contact. It could allow for optics to be used in areas that have been quite restrictive due to presence of damage or contamination at the fiber end. Hermaphroditic connector design enables fast deployment by daisy-chaining multiple cable segments. HXB series connectors also enable transfer of electrical signal or power using hybrid insert configuration.

The RFcore Radar series are FMCW type radar and were developed to detect/track small air targets. The major difference between three models is detection performance. RX32B is fundamental model. RX128B have four times larger radar than RX32B. RX192A have six times larger radar then RX32B. The number of the product name means the number of antenna elements. All have compact and lightweight physical architecture that concentrates all the components required for radar, such as antenna, RF components and radar signal processor, in a small single housing. Transport can be carried in the carrier box and can be easily carried by one person. For installation, you can use a commercially available camera tripod. The weight is about 7.5kg (RX32B) and 15.9kg (RX128B), and the lower connection part is compatible with the tripod connection for the camera. Power supply requires 12VDC (RX32B) and 24VDC power (RX128B and RX192A). When using a battery, it is possible to connect a 12V battery or 24V battery to radars. Usage time may vary depending on the battery capacity. RFCORE recommended the constant power supply. Transfer of Status and BIT information and simple control of the RX32B, RX128B and RX192A are possible with a web browser using the Ethernet connection for authorized users. Using the terminal program provided with the radar, you can view the radar control and detected target information in real time.
