This equipment is a thermal imaging system that provides an advanced, lightweight solution for nighttime surveillance. It uses a high-resolution uncooled thermal sensor to detect differences in the thermal signatures of objects across various fields of view. It can also detect a wide range of targets even under adverse weather conditions such as smoke or fog. In addition, it is used for civilian security purposes and for detecting abnormalities in facilities using thermal imaging.

The IMX-5™ includes Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) sensor fusion to estimate roll, pitch, and heading. Adding GNSS input to the IMX-5 enables onboard Inertial Navigation System (INS) sensor fusion for roll, pitch, heading, velocity, and position. This miniaturized system allows, depending on the desired configuration, to move very precisely between 1 and 3 sets of lenses over a stroke of several centimeters. The design has been optimized to ensure perfect alignment of the lenses and to minimize their tilt throughout the movement. This optomechanical system mainly consists of high-precision standard MPS and FAULHABER modules, such as brushless or stepper motors, ground ball screws with double nuts and linear ball bearings. It is particularly recommended for focusing a laser over a long distance, for example for the guidance of unmanned flying objects or for communication between flying objects. It is a system that performs missions such as monitoring, surveillance and reconnaissance by ejecting and launching a foldable fixed-wing drone from the canister(tube) launcher. It is equipped with EO/IR Cameras (Electro-Optical / Infra-Red), which are mission equipment for reconnaissance, so that effective day and night image information can be collected.
