This miniaturized system allows, depending on the desired configuration, to move very precisely between 1 and 3 sets of lenses over a stroke of several centimeters. The design has been optimized to ensure perfect alignment of the lenses and to minimize their tilt throughout the movement. This optomechanical system mainly consists of high-precision standard MPS and FAULHABER modules, such as brushless or stepper motors, ground ball screws with double nuts and linear ball bearings. It is particularly recommended for focusing a laser over a long distance, for example for the guidance of unmanned flying objects or for communication between flying objects. The number of lens sets, lens size and stroke can be configured at will.

It is mounted on a weapon system such as a fuze that rotates at high speed, and is a high-sensitivity and high-performance GNSS receiver capable of providing up to 10Hz output and multi-band GNSS signal reception as well as narrowband jamming rejection capability. You can get more than 20dB anti-jamming capability comparing with traditional high-sensitivity receivers. The Haigh-Farr family of rugged Blade antennas is available in frequencies ranging from UHF to upper C-band. Since 1972, our blade antennas have a demonstrated reliability of use in high-performance airborne applications. In addition, they are used extensively in ground-based vehicles such as race cars, trucks, tanks, and motorcycles, to name a few. 60XX & 61XX Series: Our 60XX & 61XX Series blade antennas have quasi-uniform null-free hemispherical gain patterns and may be provided in either straight or rounded blade configurations. 60XX and 61XX Series blade antennas are available in standard and high powered versions. With sufficient airflow, our standard blades handle an average power of 25 - 30W CW and our High Powered blades can handle an average power of 80W CW. These blade antennas share a common footprint with varying height. Multiband: Haigh-Farr Multiband blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas with additional bandwidth. UHF: Haigh-Farr UHF blade antennas provide coverage down to 380 MHz and up to 470 MHz in two unique form factors. Our 6300-X series of blade antennas utilize identical materials and construction as our 60XX & 61XX series blade antennas in the larger blade structure required at UHF-band. Our P/N’s 16230-XXX and 16400-XXX are low profile, mechanically robust designs that can be custom tuned to meet discrete UHF frequencies, with an option to add thermal protection for high temperature environments.

The system is designed to maximise installation flexibility, through optional power and diagnostics data over RF (permitting the use of a single cable), and a highly reconfigurable baseplate to allow the mounting holes and connector type/ position to be tailored to the target platform. Use of Chelton’s established and field-tested GNSS Anti-Jam core firmware provides a high degree of protection against complex threat scenarios and in highly dynamic environments. A software definable core allows future upgradeable ‘Signal Intelligence Apps’ to be hosted, providing the user with situational awareness of the battlefield environment and allows feedback into mission planning activities.

Drone Hunter XD is a handheld anti-drone solution that can quickly detect, identify, and track drones, providing swift onsite responses to drone threats within a 360-degree range of over 2km. Drone Hunter XD effectively neutralizes the frequencies of either a single drone or multiple drones approaching the blind spots of a fixed-type jammer, due to its receiving real-time access to information on detected DJI Drones, including S/N, model number, frequency band, azimuth/altitude angle, speed, and location.

Between Earth and space: stratosphere-compatible, solar-powered high-altitude aircraft, known as HAPs (High Altitude Platforms), offer a sustainable alternative to satellites for Earth observation and communication. They are reusable, cost-effective and flexible in use. The DLR joint project HAP-alpha is developing such a technology demonstrator and is endeavoring to establish a complete system capable of permanent operation. The aim is for DLR to build up comprehensive expertise for the development of high-performance, high-flying solar aircraft and to play an active role in shaping the legal framework. In summer 2025, the HAP-alpha successfully passed a ground vibration test.
