The device consists of a power supply, dedicated Iridium and GNSS antenna, BLE, three configurable inputs/outputs, RS232, and CANbus in an environmentally sealed enclosure. The Boreas 50 fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) is a highly accurate and reliable navigation technology. It’s the result of over 25 years of development in partnership with two research institutions. The gyroscope uses a closed-loop optical coil and an advanced spread-spectrum digital modulation technique to improve accuracy, stability, and reliability while reducing size, weight, power, and cost. Gyrocompass North-Seeking The Boreas range of fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs) can determine heading without needing a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) or a magnetometer. By sensing the Earth’s rotation, the system’s north-seeking algorithm can acquire an accurate heading. This is possible in static and dynamic conditions, even at high latitudes. Reliability Boreas 50 has been designed from the ground up for rugged reliability. Both the hardware and software are tested and certified to environmental and electromagnetic standards (MIL-STD 461 and MIL-STD 810H). The precision aluminum enclosure is waterproof and dustproof to the IP67 standard. The system is resilient to shock and vibration, allowing it to be used in extreme conditions. Multi-Protocol Support The Boreas 50 features multiple interfaces, including Ethernet, CAN, RS232, 1PPS, RS422, and GPIOs. A rich, responsive embedded web interface provides full access to all of the device’s internal functions and data. Internal storage allows for up to one year of data logging.

Built using a safety-oriented real-time operating system, all software is designed and tested to high safety standards with fault-tolerance in mind. The Certus Mini range is designed, manufactured and tested to military standards. Linear Acceleration Compensation Certus Mini uses an innovative algorithm to compensate for linear accelerations. This allows Certus Mini to maintain accurate roll and pitch through short term linear accelerations that typically cause significant errors in competitors systems. For long term linear accelerations Certus Mini supports the addition of an external GNSS receiver for full acceleration compensation. Extensive Interoperability Certus Mini seamlessly communicates with a wide range of industry standard protocols including NMEA 0183 and CANOpen making it easy to integrate into existing systems. Certus Mini effortlessly interfaces with ROS 1, ROS 2, and Ardupilot, streamlining your development processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Ultra-High Accuracy MEMS Motus features some of the highest accuracy MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes currently available. Motus’s inertial performance exceeds some FOG IMUs and is up to 100x smaller and 10x cheaper. Motus is put through Advanced Navigation’s intensive calibration process to provide consistently accurate data over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Miniature Package Never before has such high inertial performance been available in such a small package. Motus consumes just over 1 cubic inch in volume and weighs only 26 grams. This makes it ideal for weight and size sensitive applications. Motus is available in an OEM package suitable for integration into larger products or an enclosed package for external and standalone use. Advanced Signal Processing Motus samples its sensors synchronously at 1000Hz through six individual 24-bit differential ADCs which minimizes noise as well as providing optimal thermal calibration and performance characteristics. 14 separate heavily filtered regulated power supplies ensure that each sensor and ADC is operating off the cleanest possible power supply. Reliability Motus has been designed from the ground up for mission critical control applications where reliability is very important. It is built on top of a safety oriented real time operating system and all software is designed and tested to safety standards with fault tolerance in mind. The hardware is designed and manufactured to mil standards. High Update Rate Motus outputs temperature calibrated sensor data at 1000Hz as well as filtered attitude at the same rate.
