Plane Windows are used as substrates for a variety of applications, such as laser window, output couplers, beamsplitters, beam combiners, mirrors, dichroic filters and plate polarizers. Considerations in selecting window substrates include transmission range, absorption coefficient, incident laser power density and environmental factors such as pressure, temperature, moisture, abrasion and corrosion. Plane Windows listed under UV / VIS / NIR substrates are specified for applications involving coating wavelengths 193nm ≤ λ〈2.0 μm. Units for these substrates are given in mm. Plane Windows listed under IR substrates are specified for applications involving coating wavelengths λ≥ 2.0 μm. Units for these substrates are given in inches. Refer to the THIN FILM COATINGS section for information on coatings that can be applied to these substrates.

SWIFT-EI
The SWIFT-EI is the world’s first SWIR detector to feature a state-of-the-art read-out integrated circuit (ROIC), enabling low size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C). It supports VGA image format for SWIR imaging, multi-spot ALPD (asynchronous laser pulse detection), and a rapid imaging frame rate of up to 1,600 frames per second. The revolutionary ROIC introduces an independent neuromorphic imaging stream for event detection, which greatly expands capabilities in target detection and classification. Ideal for cutting-edge, low SWaP-C applications, the SWIFT-EI can be integrated into a variety of air platforms, missiles, vehicles, and handheld devices, making it extraordinarily versatile. With SWIFT-EI, SCD’s customers always have the advantage of being the FIRST TO SEE.

DeTect's MERLIN Bird Detection Radar (BDR)
DeTect specializes in advanced radar and other sensor technologies. The company is the leader in bird radar technologies for real-time aircraft bird strike avoidance, and industrial bird control with over 1100 of its MERLIN bird radars delivered to the US, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia. DeTect’s MERLIN Bird Detection Radar (BDR) system, introduced in 2003, is the first production model bird strike radar system and is the most advanced and widely used technology available for aircraft-bird strike risk management providing for real-time detection, tracking and alerting of hazardous bird and drone activity at commercial airports, military airfields, and military training and bombing ranges. The bird radar is proven, operational technology with systems installed worldwide for aviation safety and environmental applications. The radar has a documented record in reducing bird strikes, increasing safety, and reducing aircraft damage at both military and commercial airfields MERLIN is also the only bird radar system to have been evaluated and certified for real-time, tactical flight safety use by the US government (NASA and the US Air Force) and is the only bird radar approved for and in use at a commercial airport control tower under national flight safety standards. The system is a full True3D™ radar and has the highest update rate of any BDR system (4+ times per second). MERLIN can optionally be delivered as a dual-function bird and drone detection radar (BDR-DDR), risk alerting and interdiction system. The counter-UAS DDR upgrade can be added to a MERLIN BDR at any time as an upgrade that includes the drone classification software and radiofrequency (RF) detectors to detect RF and WiFi controlled drones and locate their operators
